If you’re outside the UK and your leave has expired before you are able to return
If you left the UK with valid leave before 17 March 2020 and you intended to return to the UK and make an application for Indefinite or Further Permission to Stay, but you were unable to do so before your leave expired because of travel restrictions related to coronavirus (COVID-19), you may be able to return utilising a concession available until 19 July 2021.
Prior to travelling you should contact the authorities and explain your circumstances by completing an online form. Subject to the Home Office’s discretion, you may be able to travel to the UK once you receive the relevant confirmation.
